Kamiel Dutch 10K road champion

February 13th 2005 - Kamiel Maase has won the first edition of the Dutch 10 K Championships on Road, held in the town Schoorl. The circumstances were far from pleasant in the dunes along the coast: strong winds, temperatures just above freezing and several showers. Just one week after his 'comeback' during the European Cup Cross Country in Italy, Kamiel won the overall event in Schoorl in 28.53. Runner-up Abdel Sobhi (28.55) and 3rd Jamal Baligha (28.57) don't have a Dutch passport, so Jeroen van Damme (29.12) and Sander Schutgens (29.20) took silver and bronze.

Kamiel has also officially announced his participation in the 2005 Rotterdam marathon.
