Useful test in Brasschaat (BEL)

August 7th 2004 - Two weeks before his Olympic 10.000 meter race, Kamiel ran a 5.000 meter race in Brasschaat, Belgium. Kamiel finished 3rd in 13.39.03. Unfortunately, there was no pacemaker in this EAA/Flanders Cup event. The Kenyan Komen and Ethiopian Dinkessa were responsible for a lot of changes in pace. A faster time would have been nice, but this way it turned out to be a useful test for the Olympic race in which a steady pace is quite rare.
