Getting ready for qualificationJune 10th 2008 - After several months of injuries and many sessions of alternative training, Kamiel has picked up his running workouts about three weeks ago. Today, he carried out his first training session in the "climate chamber" at National Sports Centre Papendal.
Kamiel hopes to secure his ticket to Beijing in the Marquetteloop Half Marathon in the town Heemskerk on June 22nd. Kamiel's comment on his first race in six months: "Time to prepare for this race is short, because I have been injured for so long. But this is one of the very few races in this time of year in which I can qualify and I am very motivated. So, I will do all I can to be well prepared and hope I will be in shape on time." Veel succes in Heemskerk. Mocht je het niet redden, dan gaat LVA Plantaris alles op alles zetten om je op 20 juli in Roelofarendsveen naar de spelen te helpen.

| Als jouw race zondag net zo goed gaat als de mijne vanavond dan zit het wel goed. Ik had een negatieve split van 3 minuten, dus de eerste ronde in 27 en de tweede ronde in 24 minuten. OK, jij moet dan nog een eindje. Maar toch veel succes. Groeten, Klaas. |
