4th Place at European Cup

June 23rd 2007 - At the European Cup in Vaasa, Finland, Kamiel finished 4th in the 5.000 m. After about 8 laps, Kamiel tried to pull away from the field. The European Champion Jesus Espana from Spain was to fast for the other competitors and blasted away in the last 200 meters. Kamiel finished fourth, closely behind Skoog (SWE) and Fagan (IRL).

'I hoped to finish second or third, but I simply do not have enough speed yet. This is something I will work on during the next few weeks, while preparing for the 10k Championships in Spain. There I would like to qualify for the World Champs in Osaka.'
